Richard H. Snell

Richard H. Snell, 65, loving husband, father, and doting grandfather, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, at WeCare at Sycamore.

Born in Munich, Germany, on November 12, 1960, to the late Jessie W. and Irmegard (Northburga) Snell, Richard forged a life rich in love, service, and outdoor adventures, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.

His journey through life was shared for 45 beautiful years with his devoted wife, Diane M. (Kinney) Snell. Together they built a family with their beloved daughter, Kristin Wright, her husband Robert Wright, Jr., four grandchildren, Johnathan Snell, Hailie Cupp, Hannah Wright, and Kaylyn Wright, and three great-grandchildren, Grayson Snell, Miles Cupp, and Novah Rupert, who brought him unparalleled happiness.

Richard’s legacy stretches beyond his family to the communities he served throughout his diligent career as a truck driver. He drove for several local companies including Your Building Center, Eureka Resources, and Valley Farms. An outdoor enthusiast, Richard's passions included camping, fishing, and riding motorcycles. His culinary skills, especially his famous pancakes, were beloved by all who were fortunate enough to enjoy them. Apart from his outdoor adventures and family time, Richard was known for his generosity and compassionate heart. A dedicated Soldier for the Salvation Army, he lived a life of giving, always stepping forward to lend a helping hand. Richard also loved animals, especially his dogs, Gracie and Juggs.

A memorial service to honor Richard’s life will be held 2 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2026, at Knight-Confer Funeral home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport. A visitation will be prior from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home.
